Hi, I am Be Staub (they/them)!
I am your compassionate art therapist and the group facilitator at Creative Hearts.
As an art therapist and an associate marriage and family therapist, I believe healing happens when creativity and compassion meet. For me, art therapy isn’t an alternative—it’s my calling. I see every brushstroke, color, and texture as a way to discover what words can’t always capture.
We support LGBTQIA+ individuals, couples, and families in discovering what each individual wants and needs, and in bringing their most authentic selves into their family system and community, while maintaining a positive energy and supportive structure that fosters growth.
About Me
I love all colors, especially when they're all interacting together simultaneously.
As an art therapist, I know healing isn’t always found in perfectly crafted sentences. It can show up in a brushstroke, a deep breath, or that awkward doodle that says more than words ever could. You don’t need to be “artsy” to work with me, and there will never be an "awkward" doodle existed. Just be curious, courageous, and maybe a little accepting of the moments when we couldn't get it all together.
My sessions blend art-making and conversation in a collaborative process that emphasizes exploration, healing, and growth. Introverted by nature, I hold space gently and patiently, letting clients set the pace as we navigate together.
Who I Work With
I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, and anyone needs LGBTQIA+ affirmative care. Many of my clients are members of the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent, or exploring identity in the face of cultural, relational, or personal challenges. Whether you’re working through trauma recovery, navigating relationships, or simply seeking a safe place to express yourself authentically, I meet you with openness and respect.
My Approach
I use a culturally humble, art-forward approach that integrates creativity and psychotherapy. You don’t need to be “artistic” to benefit from art therapy—just curious and willing to explore. Together, we can make sense of what feels heavy, stuck, or unspoken, and uncover new ways of being in the world.
