Hi, I am Kenneth Nguyá»…n (he/they)!

I am your compassionate and creative therapist.

What inspired me to become a therapist is the power of feeling heard, knowing the difference between listening to talk and listening to understand. Through my conversations with others, I get to have a better understanding of my own relationships and who I am as a person.

My hope is to support individuals in accessing their feelings and share a space where clients feel comfortable to bring their most authentic selves into the session.

About Me
I am introverted!

My favorite color is red, and my must-sing Karaoke song is Part of Your World - The Little Mermaid. My top three movies are Everything Everywhere All at Once, Brokeback Mountain, and Shrek Forever After. I am also introverted!

The silliest thing I've done during a session was a mock 2v2 Pokémon battle using plushies (well, you can imagine my client's age)! One of the most challenging experiences I have had during my training to become a therapist was acknowledging my anxiety before going into a session and decentering myself from my clients' needs. After working through my anxiety, I realized what my real strengths are and how to support my clients to overcome any uncertainty in life!

Today, I can say confidently that my personal experiences have helped me work with clients as I have come to better understand my positionality, cultural upbringing, and the systems in which I am affected.

My therapy style is Person-centered, Cognitive-behavioral, and Collaborative. I also pull in different modalities where my client(s) and I best see fit, whether we engage purely in talk therapy or dabble in therapeutic art & play!

Additionally, I empathize with my clients and employ cultural humility because I believe each individual's experience is highly influenced by their cultural and systemic contexts.

I welcome clients who find comfort in silence, and those who don’t. Whether you're quietly processing or feeling uneasy in the stillness, therapy is a space to explore both. There’s no one right way to show up, just your way, and we’re here to meet you in it.
